The Four Lines Rectangle tool allows the user to draw a rectangle composed of 4 lines, two of which are horizontal and two are vertical. Until recently, the constraints for the four lines were added during the preview, and this caused the tool to be slow. Since version 1.7.0, the constraints are added only once, right before the changes are commited to the Document tree, and the speed has improved visibly.
The user selects only two points for every rectangle and the other two points are computed: the first two points are transformed to 2D points in the sketch’s plane, the other two are calculated and then all points are transformed back to 3D points. This allows the user to draw rectangles on any 3D solid face:
