The old version of the Hinter displayed the helper lines with infinite length. This caused problems when we had multiple shapes on the scene and it was difficult to see what point or line was causing the hint to appear. The midpoint hints were even more difficult to see, because they don’t display the point:
I’ve improved the Hinter display so that we only see the line between the mouse cursor and the point/line generating the hint. This also improves the point match finding for intersection hints, as shown in the second example:
